Karen Lockley is the Principal Programme Manager at J D Williams, the United Kingdom’s oldest mail order company, and is responsible for the delivery of major cross-functional IT programmes. She joined J D Williams in 0ctober of 2006.  Prior to this, Karen spent nine years at Tesco, latterly running many large Data Warehouse programmes. The most notable were the Group MIS programme which provided reporting capability from a centralised Teradata platform to Tesco’s businesses in South Korea, Turkey and Central Europe plus Tescolink which delivered supplier specific secure MIS for sales and supply chain performance to Tesco’s suppliers and buyers through an internet portal.

Previous to Tesco, Karen spent two years working for Accenture on outsourcing IT at Sears Womenswear where she gained analysis and project management experience. She began her career at Next in the Buying and Merchandising field before moving to Boots the Chemist to become a Merchandise Manager. After a number of years experience in this role, Karen was appointed Business Project Manager responsible for the implementation of a new Buying and Merchandising system following a major migration to a new mainframe platform which led to a new role in Information Technology. After seven years at Boots she moved to Texas Homecare as an I.T. Business Analyst followed by the move to Accenture.
