Agile Data Warehousing with Integrated Sandboxing

The demand for more agility in data warehouse implementations is emerging as a sure sign of maturity in the industry. With methodologies and best practices that are now well established and generally agreed upon by industry gurus, we have sometimes forgotten how to act with the urgency that is reminiscent of earlier days. The philosophy of the "Agile Data Warehousing" techniques described in this workshop is borrowed from the corresponding deployment of "Agile Software Development" in organisations that have been so successful over the past several years. We show how agile techniques can be effectively adapted to data warehousing with specific development techniques and a real world case study at eBay.
